More notes on the SOTU

Why do the major corporations need protection from frivolous lawsuits, but the American people don't? (See Microsoft link below)

How can Bush talk about doubling the budget for democracy (insert correct follow-up word) to go to the Middle East in one breath, but in the next he says that he can cut the deficit in half in 5 years, assuming he's re-elected? Especially when he includes tax cuts as being in there.

How can Bush say "nobody can doubt the word of the US now" when he retracted some of his STOU 2003 about WMDs?

Why is he forcing every child, smart and dumb alike, to learn math and science? Some people are made to be gas jockeys (amusingly we call them jocks, and the in-crowd in high school). Some people are made to be artists and can barely put 5 and 7 together. But, he won't give up on them.

I liked watching the STOU in that the democrats were sitting on their hands quite often. And, CNN is hilarious, when Bush talked about protecting the sanctity of marriage, even though "some judges" pass laws perverting it os something, they had a close-up of Rick Santorum clapping very very enthusiastically, and all I could think of was "I'm a homophobe, and I'm proud of it."

Jeez, and I'm not even fully liberal.
